M & Ms

Since 6 March 2010, my family has had a new addition in our household.

Meet Mocha.

She's 6 weeks old, a mongrel saved by a couple from Changi beach.

She was from a litter of 9 puppies, and according to the couple, they have been feeding the mum and her litter for awhile. Ever since 3 went missing, the couple decided to foster out all the puppies and mum to avoid any cruelty cases.

However, the mum did not want to be captured, so in the end, the couple only fostered the remaining puppies.

The couple were really very careful in the adoption process.

They interviewed all interested parties, made all adoptive family sign a written agreement that if we did not want the puppies anymore, that we have to return the dogs back to them.

=)

It makes me happy that there are people who really care until this extend.

Of course my family was given the first piority of choosing the puppies because they were convinced by how we had treated Hugo and the extend we actually went for him.

Kor liked Mocha for her unique Brindle colour.

So yesterday, we took both dogs out to Vivo to have a bath, while we had lunch.

Mocha in the patch.

Michael is still getting used to Mocha. He was curious at first, then he played a little with her.

After awhile, he was actually protective of her. When other dogs came too close to Mocha for his comfort, Michael growled. LOL.

It's nice to see that Michael has a companion whenever we're not around. It may not be the same as Hugo's company, but I sure hope it's better than being the only dog among us humans in the house.

Here's the dogs after a whole day of running and playing about..

It was really hilarious, how Mum reacted upon seeing Mocha the first time. She went "AIYOOOOO" and stood at her doorway for a good 20sec observing her.

Then she stuck her tongue out and commented, "why so ugly?" LOL!!!

Love!
